SQ Collective is taking over another building
a creative tech / hacker / builder co-working space is taking shape. shape it with us.

something new is brewing
Hi Michael here. We’re expanding beyond 65 Mohamed Sultan!
so… there’s this new project we are working on, as a deeper extension of the idea of community-first spaces.
we are looking to build interstitial spaces for creative technologists, independent builders, and thoughtful founders by quietly taking over a 1970s brutalist building in the heart of the city (at non-city prices). We will have 3 years to play.
we envision this to be a place for making, sharing, working, and creating.

spread across multiple levels — some in the community have expressed concepts like:
electronics maker labs
event floors
co-working offices
GPU bars (tbh a bit expensive…)
creative studios
normal office also ok la
all brought together by a community that values depth, not noise.
offices and studios will be loosely distributed throughout the building — not by formula, but by flow. some teams will take over full suites. some will just need a desk. others may drift between floors as their projects evolve.
SQ collective will coordinate space but allow the space to grow organically — supporting everything from flexible desk bookings to full-room setups, depending on what each builder needs.
If you’re interested to co-locate and shape this together, help express interest!
here's how you can be part of it ↓
i was always inspired by the backstreets of berlin, seoul, or tokyo — where old industrial streets get quietly taken over by artists, technologists, and independents, who then injected the good vibes into them? we're trying something similar here but in a quiet building in CBD.
this is a quite an interesting opportunity in our urban story — a chance to rethink how space is shared, used, and shaped. an experiment in community activation on a level that hasn’t happened here before.
1. help name the space
some people have suggested a few names, which I intend to plaster onto the building facade. some good, some experimental. suggest your own or vote for what resonates.

2. express interest
we’re opening gradually. if you’re interested in:
being a founding member
running an event
contributing to the build
Others

who this is for
people who want to make things. people who like asking better questions. people who care more about output than optics.
we’re building a space that’s quiet and unassuming on the outside, but full of momentum inside.
led by the dreamers and builders. designed together.
see you in the stairwell,
